FORMER CCBC CATONSVILLE WOMEN'S SOCCER STUDENT ATHLETE AND ASSISTANT COACH NAMED DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI

Janell Coffman, former CCBC Catonsville Women’s Soccer student athlete and assistant coach was honored as a distinguished CCBC Alumni in a ceremony on November 16th.
Brian Farrell, Director of College Athletics, said, “We are extremely proud of Coach Janell for this honor. My thanks go to Dr. Willa Brooks, Coach Tom Taylor, Coach James Haislip, Coach Matthew Reed, and Coach Arthur Cage, and many of our student athletes for their attendance to support Janell. A special thank you to Coach Taylor for his nomination of Janell and introductory remarks. We also want to thank Janell’s husband Ken for his support of her work at CCBC.”
Coffman has a seventeen year connection with Women’s Soccer Program as an assistant coach and student athlete. In addition to her on field coaching duties, Janell was invaluable in assisting with fund raising initiatives, travel requirements, and general team duties and organization. Coach Coffman was a major contributor to the 2007 NJCAA Championship and numerous state and region titles the past two decades.
