MD JUCO BASKETBALL TOURNAMENTS SCHEDULED FOR FEBRUARY 17-22, 2009

The Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MD JUCO) basketball tournaments will be held from February 17, 2009 through February 22, 2009.  Round 1 games on Tuesday, February 17 will be scheduled at the home of the higher seed.  The final eight for men and women will be held at Prince George’s Community College in Largo Maryland from Thursday, February 22 to Sunday, February 29, 2009.

MD JUCO President Marc Ershler said, “The tournaments are an excellent opportunity for fans and recruiters from four year colleges alike to see some of the outstanding student athletes in the Mid-Atlantic region.   The MD JUCO tournament always features outstanding competition and top quality play in a great weekend of basketball.”

The women will play quarterfinal games on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 1, 3, 5 and 7 p.m.  The men will play their quarterfinal games on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 1, 3, 5 and 7.  The semi-finals will be held on Saturday, February 21, with the women playing at 1 and 3 pm and the men at 5 and 7 pm.  The finals on will be held on Sunday, with the women’s final at 1 pm and the men’s final at 3 pm.
