Exciting News in MC-Rockville Athletics

Women's Tennis Team- Congratulations to head coach Bob Finney and the Women's Tennis Team for finishing second in the nation at the 2007 NJCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship, held in Tucson, Arizona. In the singles match, Jillian Elkaim finished second, Daniel Tirado finished third, and Celia Valmora finished fifth. In the doubles match, Mi Chi and Anne Gaelle LaPlanche finished second overall.

Men's Golf Team- Congratulations to head coach Bobby Ashton and the Men's Golf Team for winning the 2007 MDJUCO Regional Golf Tournament. Steve Delmar finished first in the tournament followed by Paul Apolenis and Joey Shapiro to round out the top three spots. The team will be heading to the NJCAA National Golf Tournament June 4-8, 2007 at Chautauqua Golf Course in Chautauqua, New York.

The Men’s Golf team placed third out of 17 schools that competed in the 2007 NJCAA Division III Men's Golf National Championship. The tournament was held June 4-8, 2007 at Chautauqua Golf Club in Chautauqua, N.Y. Steven Delmar finished 12^th overall and had a combined score of 300. He also had the best individual score on the team at 12 over par.
