FORMER HOWARD LACROSSE STAR PEET POILLON LEADS BAYHAWKS TO MLL TITLE
Peet Poillon, former student athlete at Howard Community College, scored three goals on August 22nd to lead the Chesapeake Bayhawks to a 13-9 win over the Long Island Lizards to win the Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Championship. Poillon’s three goals included two behind the back scores that earned him notice on ESPN’s Sportscenter.

IBARRA NAMED MEN'S SOCCER COACH AT PRINCE GEORGE'S
Prince George's Community College is pleased to announce the hiring of Willie Ibarra as the interim head men's soccer coach. Coach Ibarra replaces fifteen year head coach Richard Todaro, who resigned on Friday, July 27, 2010 due to personal reasons.

FIRST-TEAM ALL-AREA PLAYERS HIGHLIGHT 2011 FCC SOFTBALL RECRUITING CLASS
Kelsey Young, a member of the Frederick News-Post’s All-Area First-Team from Tuscarora High, leads Frederick Community College’s 2011 Softball recruiting class. She will be joined by eight others, including second-team member Jessica Cooper of Walkersville and 2009 first-teamer Kim Anders, a Linganore graduate who played at Belmont Abbey College in 2010. The class will be celebrated at a Signing Day on Thursday July 15th at 2:45 at the FCC Field House.
